Whether your strength is RF testing or software/firmware validation, you’ll play a hands-on role in test development, execution, automation, and data analysis.</p>\n\n<h2>A Day in the Life - What You’ll Do</h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Develop and execute test plans, procedures, scripts, and automated test sequences for RF, software, and firmware systems.\n\t<li>Use MATLAB and/or Python to automate testing, process data, generate waveforms, and analyze test results.\n\t<li>Configure and operate RF test equipment, develop automated equipment control, and support direct RF testing of complex systems.\n\t<li>Develop software test tools and surrogate modules, support interface testing, process post-test data, and assist with messaging, ICD, interoperability, and cybersecurity testing.\n\t<li>Document requirements validation, test results, discrepancies, and technical findings while collaborating with engineering teams.\n</ul>\n\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).\n\t<li>3–5+ years of relevant Test Engineering experience.\n\t<li>Active Secret security clearance.\n\t<li>Experience with test planning, test execution, requirements validation, and test reporting.\n\t<li>Experience with MATLAB and/or Python for test automation and data processing.\n\t<li>Experience developing test scripts and automated test solutions.\n\t<li>Ability to analyze and process test data.\n\t<li>Experience in at least one of the two primary focus areas:\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li>RF Testing\n\t\t<li>Software/Firmware Testing and Test Support\n\t</ul>\n\t\n\t<li>Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.\n</ul>\n\n<h3>RF Testing Qualifications</h3>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Direct RF test experience; Radar and/or Electronic Warfare experience preferred.\n\t<li>Experience with RF test equipment including Signal Generators and Spectrum Analyzers.\n\t<li>Experience with Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, SDRs, or similar equipment.\n\t<li>Working knowledge of RF components, analog RF test setups, configuration, and RF link budgets.\n\t<li>Experience with programmatic control of RF test equipment, typically using SCPI commands.\n\t<li>Experience with automated processing of raw IQ data.\n\t<li>Experience with custom RF waveform generation.\n\t<li>Experience developing RF test scripts and automation.\n\t<li>Experience developing and executing tests for requirements validation.\n</ul>\n\n<h3>Software/Firmware Testing & Test Support Qualifications</h3>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>MATLAB and/or Python experience for test automation and data processing.\n\t<li>C++, Java, and/or Python programming experience.\n\t<li>Experience developing software test surrogate modules for interface testing.\n\t<li>Experience writing code for automated test equipment setup, device-under-test (DUT) control, and test sequencing.\n\t<li>Experience with post-test data processing and processing automation.\n\t<li>Experience developing GUIs for test interfaces, automation, and/or data processing.\n\t<li>Experience with lightweight databases such as SQLite, MS Access, or similar for test point tracking and test data management.\n\t<li>Experience with Cameo from an interface and minor-update perspective; this is not an MBSE-focused role.\n\t<li>Ability to support software-centric testing involving messaging, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), interoperability, cybersecurity, and related interfaces.\n\t<li>RF testing experience is highly preferred.\n</ul>\n\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Experience with both RF testing and software/firmware testing.\n\t<li>Radar and/or Electronic Warfare testing experience.\n\t<li>Proficiency in both MATLAB and Python.\n\t<li>Experience with automated RF data processing and IQ data.\n\t<li>Experience with SDRs and custom waveform generation.\n\t<li>Experience integrating automated test equipment and software-based test environments.\n\t<li>Experience supporting complex defense or mission systems.\n\t<li>Experience with RF and software interfaces, messaging, ICDs, interoperability, and cybersecurity testing.\n</ul>\n\n<h2>Export Control</h2>\n\n<p>Export or re-export of information associated with this position may be subject to restrictions and requirements under U.S. export laws and regulations and may require advance authorization from the U.S. Government.</p>\n\n<h2>Who is Caribou Thunder?</h2>\n\n<p>Caribou Thunder is a HUBZone-certified small business providing advanced technical and engineering services to the U.S. Department of War and its mission partners.</p>\n\n<p>35+ states and 20+ countries.
